-
- I managed to get 1.2.13pl5_amiga kernel (a.out I think) booted but now
- I can't make sense out of mount and the included mke2fs. I'm also not
- clear on how to determine the block size on a SCSI Qantum 700 meg hd.
-
- There is no damn fdisk !!! so determining which drive is which is..!@#
-
- Well at least I'm booted, the 1.2.3pl8 kernel just bombed out with
- something about an Atari device and I know I might have a suspect
- buster chip (scsi ?) or maybe a bad ram chip, not sure, anyway I
- grabbed the amiga only version recommended in the html install page
- and I've been "up" for ~60 mins with the filesys-for-pl4, so far.
-
- bash# /sbin/mke2fs -t ext2 -c -v /dev/sda5
- mke2fs 1.01, 30-Oct-95 for EXT2 FS 0.5a, 95/03/19
- /sbin/mke2fs: bad blocks count - /dev/sda5
-
- and I get this trying to mount a known amiga partition;
-
- bash# mount -t affs /dev/sda(or 1) /mnt
- mount: mount(/dev/sda,/mnt) failed: Block device required
-
- In the first case (mke2fs) it should be able to determine the
- block size itself (according to docs)... the second one (mount affs)
- is also wierd. Any suggestions out there ???
-
- Direct mail would be more helpful but any donations gratefully accepted.
